Singer Nam Jin Expressed His Respect For His Juniors, Mentioning The Changed Times

Nam Jin held a new song press conference and showcase at the YTN Hall in Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 13th. On this day, Nam Jin said about the trot boom that is blowing in the music industry, “Trot is not originally ours. It’s a French song.”
He added, “Real trot is about rhythm. It’s a universal language. Nowadays, there are hardly any songs that are called trot but are sung to that rhythm. The songs that the old senior singers sang are the traditional trot. Among the songs I sang, ‘Heartache’ and ‘Rain’ were real trot. I haven’t sung much since then.”

Namjin continued, “Today, trot sings the same melody our seniors sang in the past, but the accompaniment is a completely different song, such as go-go, rock, or rap.” He added, “The word trot is used, but it is by no means original. However, because it is a trend, the students of this generation say, “If you sing Trot in that manner, I believe it to be Trot. I too cannot disregard the times.”

Namjin also lauded the performance of BTS, who has become a ‘global sensation.’ Namjin lauded the group, stating, “BTS is touring the globe. Who would have considered it historically? When the entire world discusses Korea, they are familiar with BTS and throng to their concerts. That much cultural development has occurred. It’s truly remarkable, and I have a great deal of respect for them.”

Namjin stated, “I, too, wish to prepare the song more diligently and complete it well. Everything must come to an end,” and “I’ve received a lot of affection, but I don’t want to conclude it half-heartedly. Before departing, I want to devote my remaining passion and conclude well with my fans. “That is my desire,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Nam Jin released two new songs on this date, including ‘Because the breakup is mine’ and ‘Only the courageous discover beauty.’ The June release of ‘The Man Who Buys Food’ has been out for approximately three months. In addition, Namjin intends to hold a national tour concert in Busan on October 14th, followed by Gwangju, Jeonju, Bucheon, Daejeon, Cheongju, Daegu, Ulsan, Jeju, Namyangju, Ansan, and Seoul.
