Suzy’s stills from “Doona!” were uploaded on Netflix’s official account on September 28th, with the description “What kind of person is idol Lee Doo-na?”

The drama “Doona!” is based on Min Song-ah’s novel “The Girl Downstairs,” which has been serialized on Naver since July 2019. It tells the narrative of average college student Lee Won-jun (Yang Se-jong) meeting Lee Doo-na (Suzy), who retired after leaving behind the glamorous K-pop idol days, and becoming housemates.

Suzy portrays Lee Doo-na, the primary vocalist of a popular idol group and the center of attention in “Doona!” Lee Doo-na announces her unexpected retirement and moves into a share house in a college town.

Netflix’s stills depict Suzy’s entire transition into Lee Doo-na. Suzy’s presence on stage as an idol is reminiscent of her Miss A days, grabbing attention. Netflix also revealed important parts of idol culture, such as photocards, raising expectations for her transformation into Lee Doo-na.
