Stray Kids, Selected As “Next Generation Leaders” By U.S. Time..Second Time After BTS

The South Korean boy group Stray Kids has been selected as one of Time magazine’s “Next Generation Leaders”.
According to Time’s announcement on October 5, 2023, Stray Kids has been selected as one of the “Next Generation Leaders” for 2023. Time has been releasing a list of “Next Generation Leaders” since 2014, selecting young trendsetters and pioneers. Stray Kids is the second K-pop boy group to be selected for the award, following BTS.
Time introduced Stray Kids as a group that has achieved global success by embracing new sounds, and focused on their pre-debut and official debut process.

He continued, “Stray Kids, who have pushed forward their unique musical direction, placed their mini album ‘ODDINARY’ at number one on the US ‘Billboard 200’ chart for the first time in March 2022. Support from the global fandom called STAY is also there. “It’s amazing,” he explained.

Member Changbin said through Time, “By continuously pioneering new musical themes, our goal is for our music to be known as a genre called ‘Stray Kids.’”
