Taeyeon Expresses Concerns About The Lack Of Friendships In The Entertainment Industry

Taeyeon talked with her juniors about their everyday lives.

Taeyeon made a special appearance in a video that was posted on Super Junior’s Donghae and Eunhyuk’s YouTube page on March 28th.

Recalling Taeyeon, whom they had watched since they were young, Donghae and Eunhyuk did. “Taeyeon was like a little sister I wanted to take care of,” Eunhyuk remarked. Considering how much weight she’s dropped, others advise her to eat more. She was overweight prior to her debut. “I yo-yoed in weight at the beginning of my debut,” Taeyeon joked.

“She was even chubbier as a trainee,” Eunhyuk recalled. Tofu is soft and squishy, similar to sticky rice cakes.

“She was always laughing, seemed to have good things happening all the time,” he said. Longingly, Taeyeon said, “I wonder what was so fun back then.” I feel like I’m running out of dopamine right now. I long to return to those times.

In response to a question about the celebrities she frequently speaks with, Taeyeon said, “I don’t have any.” Taeyeon responded, “If you count it that way, we see each other once every two weeks,” when asked how frequently she sees Key. However, I don’t really have any pals. “I have concerns,” she admitted. I’m friendless.

“Me too,” Eunhyuk rejoined, and Donghae said, “I’ve only met people who exercise.” It’s rare to find regular folks, much less famous ones.

Taeyeon also stated that she wanted to be close to NewJeans, one of the celebs. She said, “We were trainees together,” to Donghae and Eunhyuk. There was once a stronger sense of attachment, but I don’t see (my juniors) as much these days. To be honest, I haven’t seen RIIZE. I truly want to talk to RIIZE a lot, but it seems very hard for them to come up to me first.

It was also talked about Taeyeon’s most recent release, “To.X.” Taeyeon responded, “I don’t like the system of music shows,” when asked why she didn’t participate in any music shows. I get it, but isn’t singing in the early hours of the day too disrespectful? Things like that are unavoidable. In the end, I want to create new content and provide something better because I regret not being able to exhibit better stages.

“There are many other ways to show (our talent), but it used to be taken for granted that we had to do music shows,” expressed agreement from Eunhyuk. It’s acceptable to aim higher and demonstrate excellence.
