The appeal trial for Apink Eunji’s claimed stalker is scheduled to take place the following month. The appeal trial of the lady in her 50s who is accused of following the Apink member for several years will resume in July, according to legal circles on June 7 KST. The charges against the woman were brought against her. The first appeal trial for ‘A’, who has been accused with breaking the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, is scheduled to take place on July 9 at the Seoul Central District Court, according to reports. As part of the initial trial, ‘A’ was given a sentence of one year in prison with a two-year probation period, and she was also fined an additional 100,000 won, which is equivalent to $72.58 USD. The individual identified as “A” was also placed under protective supervision, ordered to complete 120 hours of community service, and required to attend 40 hours of seminars on the prevention of stalking crimes. According to the indictment, ‘A’ was responsible for sending a total of 544 text messages to Eunji of Apink since March of 2020. Among the messages that were sent, one of the messages said, “Would you accept me as your servant, your companion?” In addition, she is accused of using her own motorcycle to follow Eunji’s automobile from the KBS offices in May of 2020 to a hair and beauty shop in Gangnam, Seoul. This incident occurred in October of that same year. ‘A’ was discovered hanging around at the front door of the flat where Eunji lived in the month of July in the year 2021. At the beginning of the trial, the court determined, “The content of the messages sent by the defendant to the victim exceeded the level of support, interest, and affection that a fan might express to a celebrity they like.”
