The contentious Korean-buzzworthy Japanese adult actress event ‘The 2024 KXF The Fashion’ has been canceled. The event was canceled after four failed location attempts.
The 2024 KXF The Fashion adult festival was canceled on April 18 by PlayJoker due to safety concerns for the participating adult video actresses.
KXF first chose Suwon after signing a rental contract with Suwon Messe in January. On April 4, KXF moved the event to Paju after Suwon City considered administrative action. On April 13, the site was moved again to a Han River bar in Jamwon, Seoul, after Paju City strongly opposed it.
In response, Seoul Future Han River Headquarters threatened to cut power and that the rental contract be canceled. In response to their fourth cancelation, the organizers moved the event to an underground bar in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, which was met with protest from the Gangnam-gu Office and locals.
Despite these obstacles, the organizers continued the event. However, a Japanese adult actor agency at the event asked them to reconsider on April 18. PlayJoker reported that the agency worried about actor safety at KXF. PlayJoker canceled the KXF event after reviewing this input.
PlayJoker CEO Lee Hee Tae said, “It appears that excessive interference from local governments in the KXF event has placed undue pressure on the participating actors,” adding, “Nearly 30 years have passed since the protests against Michael Jackson’s 1996 concert in Korea, yet people still remain closed to sexual culture, which is disappointing.”
