The purported veracity behind the CCTV footage of a sexual assault involving member Hwichan and former CEO of Spire Entertainment Kang Seong Hee was made public by OMEGA X’s label IPQ.

Yesterday, CCTV footage from July 11, 2022, purportedly shows OMEGA X’s Hwichan sexually abusing Kang Seong Hee. The footage was published by the former agency of OMEGA X, Spire Entertainment. Subsequently, IPQ refuted the claims, asserting that Kang Seong Hee was the one engaging in sexual misbehavior, verbal and physical abuse, physical assault, harassment, and coerced drinking. The label went on to say that Hwichan was coerced into having a physical encounter with Kang Seong Hee.

IPQ issued a derogatory text message and an official statement on March 20 KST, both of which denied the claims of sexual assault. The label claims that the drinking party seen in the CCTV film was a forced meeting by the label’s management rather than being for the members joining in the military, as reported by Hwang Sung Woo, the current CEO of Spire Entertainment and spouse of Kang Seong Hee. His military enlistment warrant was issued on August 1, 2022, notwithstanding Spire Entertainment’s allegation that Hwichan had expressed concerns about enlisting on July 11, 2022, and wished to postpone his recruitment date. The purpose of the drinking party, according to IPQ, was to comfort Kang Seong Hee, who was purportedly angry that the OMEGA X members didn’t appreciate her attempts to boost record sales. Additionally, it is revealed through a text message chain that CEO Hwang Sung Woo forced the members who were sleeping in the dorm to get up and drink.
