A sudden friendship between Jung Yong Hwa and SUGA astonished fans when they appeared as special guests on ‘Suchwita (Time to Drink with SUGA)’ on January 15.

On this day, the two shared their friendship tale, and Jung Yong Hwa shared his perspective of BTS at their first meeting.

“We should discuss about how we became friends,” SUGA said to begin the conversation, and Yong Hwa replied, “It was a long time ago…I was pushing ‘One Fine Day’ and you were promoting ‘I NEED U,’ in 2015.”

“One Fine Day” was my first solo song, and I felt a little alone,” Jung Yong Hwa went on. I walked backstage since I was feeling a little alone, and BTS was there. You were truly… on the rise at that time, as emerging stars.” “Things were just starting up after two albums tanking,” SUGA humorously said.

“But even before that, when I was living with the members, we’d talk about BTS,” revealed Jung Yong Hwa. “Hey, isn’t there something different about them?” we would ask. We were simultaneously promoting, so I became interested. I was interested in you two. I simply approached you and inquired, “What do you do on days off?” I made that request.”

“I asked, ‘What do you do on days off?'” he continued. and you replied, “We work,” or “We write songs.” Usually, younger musicians wouldn’t say that. Typically, it goes something like this: “We can’t go out and hang out. The agency doesn’t give us days off.” That is how 90% of the responses are.
