HYBE’s global girl group “Dream Academy” named LE SSERAFIM their K-pop role model.
The 10 remaining members who will perform at the “Finale Live” were interviewed on November 10. The interview included Emily (USA), Samara (Brazil), Manon (Switzerland), Marquise (Thailand), Yoon Chae (Korea), Megan, Sophia, Daniela, Lara, and Ezrela.
HYBE and Universal Music Group’s Geffen Records co-host “Dream Academy,” a global girl group audition program where trainees of all races and cultures compete for the debut spot. Ilchi Art Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, hosted the final members’ first fanmeeting last month. They use Weverse to interact with fans and were amazed by the outpouring of love.
Lara remarked, “Dancing and singing are very important,” expressing their shared “debut” desire and future aspirations. I always aspired to be a ‘artist’ since childhood. Participating in ‘Dream Academy’ was an honor, and I feel lucky to be here. I’ll take it seriously.” Emily said, “Since we are a girl group, the fact that I can share the same passion with other members is truly meaningful and precious”.
Members that sang LE SSERAFIM’s songs for their second mission in “Dream Academy” called him their K-pop role model. Marquise stated, “I’ve said this several times. I admire Kim Chae-won. Her stage presence was impressive. She was kind and friendly when I met her in person.
Sophia remarked, “We were very surprised by the visit of Chairman Bang Si-hyuk and senior singers at HYBE in Korea. I think it was amazing to chat to such an influential person who founded this idea. He treated us well.
Yoon Chae said, “I’ve loved BTS since I was little and watched many Chairman Bang videos. “I couldn’t believe I met LE SSERAFIM. It was weird to see him in person, but it was so meaningful. I’ve noticed their songs and performances since their debut.”
On November 18, the Top 10 will reveal their final debut lineup and conclude their arduous journey through “Dream Academy”. Before the finale, the members were confident and committed to perform without regrets.
