TXT Discusses Being Called The ‘Next BTS’ And Billboard Hot 100 Goals

In their third full album, TXT tells another youth story.
In Seoul, TXT conducted a presentation for their 3rd full album, ‘THE NAME CHAPTER: FREEFALL’ on October 12.

Young folks who postponed their growth and evaded the world decide to face reality in this album.

Soobin added, “We worked hard to capture TXT’s essence in our third full album. We’ll show you a fantastic look as prepared.” Yeonjun said, “We’ve returned with an album filled with today’s youth emotions, so please look forward to it.”

The lovely title track, ‘Chasing That Feeling,’ announces a new beginning in reality, leaving behind the past without growth. Dynamic melody and powerful beat are refreshing.

About the title track, Huening Kai said, “We’ve always tried fresh genre concepts. This time, it felt new. I found it weird at first, but it was fresh and addictive like ‘Sugar Rush Ride.’ I liked showing TXT’s own hue with this song.”

When asked what they focused on for this album, Yeonjun responded, “We thought it wouldn’t be easy, as we had a world tour and a busy schedule. It was difficult, but it worked out. We used music, performance, and graphics to convey a universal reality.

I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t challenging, Soobin said. We attempted various genres and worked with new writers, thus we focused on TXT’s unique color on our record. I like the result.”

With their previous album, ‘THE NAME CHAPTER: TEMPTATION,’ TXT rose to No.1 on Billboard 200. As the first K-pop group to headline Lollapalooza in Chicago, they were invited to the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

According to Beomgyu, they performed ‘Back For More’ before the release. We performed an unpublished song at our first American awards event. I was tense more nervous than normal. I had fun onstage since people liked our performance. If we get another chance, I want to show the best stage.”

Huening Kai stated, “I want to meet more MOAs and perform in bigger venues. Since we learned to set huge goals, I hope our song makes Billboard Hot 100 this time. I think we can.”

Finally, TXT said, “It’s an honor” to being labeled the “Next BTS. We appreciate the positive feedback. Achieving even a small contribution to K-pop by following BTS would be rewarding. We want to be a good group that can impact others through our music and color.”

On October 13th at 1 PM KST, TXT will release their third complete album, ‘THE NAME CHAPTER: FREEFALL’.
