Haeykey’s Wheein, a member of the K-pop girl group Haykey, said she was stunned when she won first place in the final round of Mnet’s competition program “Queendom Puzzle”.
Hwi-seo, who attended the showcase for her second mini-album ‘Seoul Dreaming’ on the 30th at the Blue Square in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, was asked how she felt about winning first place in ‘Queendom Puzzle’ and replied, “I was very anxious that day. I believed that my name would not be called, but it was called first, so I questioned whether I was correct. I was both appreciative and enthusiastic.
Member Yell admitted, “When I was performing in “Queendom Puzzle,” I observed all the unnies.”I was anxious despite not being on stage. “When Hwi-seo won first place, she told me via messenger, ‘You worked hard,’ ‘It’s great,’ and ‘As expected, Jo Hwi-hyeon (Hui-seo’s real name) is proud,'” explained Seo Yi.
‘Seoul Dreaming’ is an album published by Highkey approximately seven months after the release of ‘Rose Blossom’ in January. The new album is the second installment in a series expressing “inner health,” and it expresses our melancholy but beautiful, fragile yet brilliant aspirations. This album contains a total of 7 tracks, including the double title track ‘SEOUL (Such a Beautiful City)’ and ‘Time to Shine’, ‘Low-key Scared But H1-KEY Ready’ and ‘Magical Dream’.
Hong Ji-sang, composer of ‘A Rose Blooms Between Buildings’, which is still enjoying a lengthy run on the music rankings, and Young K, a member of the group DAY6, once again collaborated on the title track ‘SEOUL’. In Seoul, a city of opportunity where hope and despair, happiness and sorrow continually intersect, Highkey tells the story of a beautiful but perilous dream.
Another title song, ‘Don’t turn off the lights’ (hereafter referred to as ‘Turn off the lights’), was pre-released on the 23rd. Composed by Hong Ji-sang, the song conveys the message, ‘As long as we continue to aspire, our lights will never go out. Immediate after its release, ‘Turn On Fire’ is garnering a positive response, ranking in the top 100 of the real-time music charts in the United States.
In addition, High Key collaborated with STUDIO L’EXTREME, a visual production studio, once again to produce a beautiful music video; the concept photo was completed. 3DCOLORDOOBU and HOLICSSO, who directed the performances of ENHYPEN and BTOB, also collaborated to improve the quality of this album.
The second mini album by Highkey, titled “Seoul Dreaming,” will be published on various music websites at 6 p.m. the same day.
