The ‘YG x avex Audition 2024’ will be hosted by YG Entertainment in collaboration with Avex of Japan. This will be the first joint audition between the two entertainment powerhouses in around eight years, having started in 2016.
Ten grand events will host the auditions spread throughout seven major Japanese cities: Sapporo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo, Sendai, and Okinawa. Regardless of gender or nationality, applicants born between 2003 and 2013 are welcome to apply online between February 13 and March 10.
YG Entertainment is known for creating worldwide K-pop hits such as Big Bang, BLACKPINK, WINNER, iKON, TREASURE, and more. With the recent success of BABYMONSTER, the partnership hopes to carry on the legacy of finding and developing elite talent in the music business.
To ensure a thorough assessment of applicants’ potential, the audition process will mix in-person and online video screenings. Artists aspiring to be considered may visit the official ‘YG x avex Audition 2024’ website for further information and application procedures.
