Recent Yoochun appearances startled netizens.

To mark his 20th anniversary in Tokyo, Yoochun held his fan meetup and dinner event ‘Re.birth’ on February 9. Many netizens were shocked by the former JYJ member’s new look.

Last December, the fan meeting’s ticket price of 23,000 to 50,000 yen ($154.07 to $334.95 USD) caused controversy.


In 2019, Yoochun was sentenced to 10 months in prison and 2 years of probation for drug use. He tried to star in an independent film last year after promising to retire. He continues his endeavors abroad because Korea was unfriendly to him. Yoochun was criticized for 5 tax evasion instances.
