MAX discusses ‘STUPID IN LOVE’ with Yunjin of LE SSERAFIM and his admiration for ZEROBASEONE

In Manila, American singer and actor MAX discussed his latest album, music journey, and working with K-Pop musicians during a press conference.

His 12-song album, ‘LOVE IN STEREO,’ includes the viral “STUPID IN LOVE” with LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin. She’s great. Her character is great. She’s kind. She’s a brilliant songwriter. Yes, we got along so well. Like little sister, big brother energy. Her singing participation is a blessing. He stated the world sent Huh Yunjin to me because I craved a feminine voice.

MAX danced to “Stupid In Love” with Yunjin after his Seoul trip.

He said he liked ZEROBASEONE when asked which other K-Pop musicians. “I adore ZEROBASEONE. He stated they’re great now. “I love the new song, ILLIT’s ‘Magnetic,'” he said.

He also mentioned BTS’s Jungkook’s cover when questioned about his K-Pop introduction. “He sang my song ‘One More Weekend.’ Live Jungkook sang it. ‘Who’s this guy?’ His voice’s wonderful.”

The artist sang “STUPID IN LOVE.” with Yunjin at a solo event in South Korea before heading to Manila. “Live performance is my passion. I love when fans sing along and connect. He said it energizes him.

MAX is recognized for his hit duet with BTS’s SUGA on “Blueberry Eyes.” His SUGA experience was life-changing. “Our first meeting was lovely. He said we bonded over basketball in a room. I composed my portion and he joined ‘Blueberry Eyes.’ Indeed, collaborations often happen that way. It’s natural. We connect and get along. I enjoy being among such great music and performers.”

When working with other musicians, he reminds himself to love music. “I want to give the best to them,” stated. However, he can be hard on himself when making crafts. MAX said “I think that it actually influences me to enjoy it a little bit more and just make sure that I am authentic and vulnerable to storytelling and hope that it connects with somebody who’s going to do the same.”

He recommends finding your superpowers to industry hopefuls, saying, “I think your insecurities can be your superpowers. Accept and love yourself. Those who act quickly thrive.”
