BTS’s V Revealed His True Colors Through His First Solo Album

BTS member V revealed his true colors through his first solo album.

V released his first solo album, “Layover,” on September 8 at 1 p.m. KST.

“Layover” is an pop R&B, and it includes six songs: the title track “Slow Dancing,” as well as the pre-released songs “Rainy Days,” “Love Me Again,” and “Blue,” “For Us,” and a bonus track called “Slow Dancing (Piano Ver.).”

On this date, V revealed several album-related tales via his agency Big Hit Music. He stated regarding the title track, “It is a composition that can be listened to in a relaxed state of mind. In the second part, a flute performance takes place. I chose the title because I believed ARMY would appreciate it the most.”

As this is his first solo album, he said, “I had many concerns and prepared it with the intention of revealing a new aspect of myself. I attempted to be a little greedy, despite the fact that I’m not particularly greedy. I hope you fell for V’s new personality.”

He added, “If I had to describe the work of a solo album in a single word, it would be ‘visiting myself.'” You may believe that V possesses this. He is dazzling on stage.” This is an album in which I attempted to lighten things up and reveal my genuine personality. I resumed vocal practise and attempted to fill in the gaps’, he explained.

According to V, this album comprises all of his favourite and best skills. V stated, “I produced it alongside executive producer Min Hee-jin. Even though this was our first time working together, we performed admirably.”

“I wanted to embody my own tastes and sensibilities, so I sought out someone who could maximise my sensibilities, and when the opportunity presented itself, I contacted them first,” he explained. A very cool album was issued, he continued. We communicated our opinions in minute detail. (With Min Hee-jin) “When collaborating, we felt like we were doing it out of genuine affection for one another,” he explained.

V thanked Min Hee-jin, stating, “I actively voiced my opinions and communicated many of the ideas in my head, and they were actively reflected.” Some may view my delay of action as a flaw, but I believe it has been accentuated on this album.”

Due to the fact that it is his debut solo album, V’s musical concerns are completely reflected. He stated, “I was concerned about what kind of music I should create and what kind of image I should portray through this solo album, so I spoke with (Min Hee-jin) extensively about the direction of the solo album. I also concentrated on music, which I am proficient in and enjoy. This route was not direct. “I intend to gradually, step-by-step attain my objective. Confidently, he stated, “I’d like to introduce myself as a straightforward individual with a pure heart.”

In addition to the title track, you can view a variety of music videos for the songs included on the album. The ‘Slow Dancing’ music video, which was published at the same time as the album, captivated viewers with its grand scale, beautiful scenery, intriguing plot, and mysterious atmosphere.

In addition, scenes of V swimming in the ocean and having a good time with friends on the shore add to the meaning of the show, as they allow the audience to meet the human Kim Taehyung rather than the flashy V on stage.

V stated, “With the exception of the bonus track, I produced the music videos for the entire album. This is my first similar experience, so I believe it will remain a memorable one. I enjoyed filming it, and I felt a sense of accomplishment when I saw the final product. I uploaded both the music and music video. “I hope you both enjoy it together,” he said.

V concluded by saying, “As we attempted to show a new side of ourselves, we have prepared many special stages, so please look forward to it.”
