“A Big Bang Member Restarts Duties… How About The Others?”

The members of the renowned K-pop group BIGBANG have been in the news lately for various reasons. This is a synopsis of their present circumstances:

Kang Daesung (Daesung):

Starting on the 21st, Daesung will make an appearance on the MBC variety show “Nolmyeon Mohani?” as part of a new music project under JS Entertainment.
With his appearance on this show, Daesung makes his appearance on terrestrial television variety shows for the first time in about 12 years, and he also reunites with Yoo Jae-suk after 13 years.
Daesung will also be a regular trot competition judge on the MBN program “Hyunyeok Gayang” starting in the second half of 2023. The best 7 female trot singers in South Korea right now will be chosen by this competition to participate in the “Korea-Japan Trot Battle” in 2024.
Daesung expressed his joy at being back in the entertainment industry, stating that he is eager to pick up tips from more seasoned performers and is resolved to assist in any way he can.

Choi Seung-hyun, or T.O.P.,:

In October 2016, T.O.P was given a suspended sentence for using electronic liquid marijuana, which put him in legal hot water.
He came back in April of the previous year with BIGBANG’s “Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter” after announcing his retirement.
But T.O.P later announced that he was leaving BIGBANG. He has stated that he will be portraying a retired idol in the Netflix series “Squid Game 2,” and he is concentrating on his acting profession. Nothing is known about the second season.
Additionally, T.O.P. declared in May that he would be taking part in the “Dear Moon Project” and that he intended to visit space this year. It has apparently been postponed, though, because of SpaceX’s Starship development delay.
Lee Seung-hyun, or Seungri:

Seungri was sentenced to one year and six months in prison for running the “Burning Sun” club, mediating prostitution, and engaging in compulsive gambling. The ninth of February saw his freedom.
He has been embroiled in a number of scandals, most notably the recent “two-timing” controversy in which it was claimed that in September he had a romantic involvement with two different people.
