Former Big Bang Member T.O.P Distributes 12,000 Briquettes To Help The Needy

Babsang Community Briquette Bank announced a magnificent 12,000-briquette donation from an unknown donor on December 19 KST. The generous donation and the donor’s anonymity—former Big Bang member T.O.P.—attracted attention.

Through his Briquette Bank account, T.O.P donated without identifying himself. It was later revealed that T.O.P’s wine brand ‘T’SPOT,’ founded in January, provided the donation.

T.O.P’s sponsorship will allow the Briquette Bank to provide 12,000 briquettes to needy households. High inflation and oil prices hit many this year, according to Babsang Community/Briquette Bank CEO Heo Ki Bok. He stressed the need for support and said the Briquette Bank wants to distribute 500,000 more briquettes to reach its 3 million-piece goal this year. He urged the public to support briquette-using homes nationwide.

Personal struggles have led T.O.P to consider retiring from entertainment. This followed his 2016 marijuana conviction for 10 months in prison and 2 years on probation. T.O.P quit YG Entertainment and Big Bang after appearing in “Still Life”. He recently appeared in Netflix’s ‘Squid Game 2.’
