A Bunch Of Awards And Acts At The End Of The Year Will Put NewJeans In The Spotlight In Japan.

As the year draws to a close, NewJeans is going to be featured prominently in a number of award ceremonies and broadcasts. This is due to the incredible success that they have gained in Japan.

On December 30, NewJeans the group is slated to perform at the renowned Japan Record Awards. The event is planned to take place in Japan. “Ditto,” a b-side track from their single album “OMG,” “ETA,” one of the triple title tracks from their second EP, and another b-side track will be performed by NewJeans at this prestigious awards ceremony. NewJeans will take the stage to play not just one but three songs.

One of the most prestigious and well-established music award ceremonies in Japan, the Japan Record Awards have been around since 1959. They are held by the Japan Composers Association, which is also the organization that is responsible for the awards. At this illustrious event, NewJeans was honored with the “Excellent Work Award” as well as the “Special Award.” Both of these awards were presented to NewJeans representatives.

The ‘Excellent Work Award’ is presented to 10 songs that were released in a certain year and have achieved a significant level of popularity among the general mass of people. “Ditto” is the only foreign song to ever get this distinction and secure a nomination for the main prize, making it a remarkable achievement even before the group’s official debut in Japan. This is a noteworthy accomplishment.

NTV’s “Annual Music Awards 2023” is a representative year-end music broadcast show that honors the year’s most popular songs based on their performances on major music charts. NewJeans is also scheduled to play at this event. The band is invited to return for the second year in a row after their breakthrough single “Attention” left a long-lasting impression on the audience the previous year.

The ‘Annual Music Awards 2023’ will be shown on NTV at seven o’clock in the evening on December 27, while the ‘Japan Record Awards’ will be shown on TBS at five thirty in the evening on Thursday, December 30.
