Big Hit Music updates legal claim against BTS’ artist rights violation

BTS’ artist rights lawsuit has been updated by Big Hit Music.

The HYBE subsidiary updated the legal procedures amid BTS album chart manipulation allegations and HYBE’s suspected connection with Dahnworld. Big Hit Music announced on May 2 that a separate legal firm will investigate “hoarding, concept plagiarism, and affiliations with Dahnworld or any religious cults.”

Read Big Hit Music’s statement below.

“Hello.
BIGHIT MUSIC.
Please be informed of legal measures taken to preserve BTS members’ rights.

Please note that recent charges of hoarding, concept plagiarism, and links with Dahnworld or religious cults are untrue.

The corporation has opted to hire a separate law firm to address the current proliferation of false rumors and information, as previously indicated.

In response to misinformation aimed at defaming and slandering artists, we filed a criminal complaint with law enforcement agencies on May 2nd. This collection contains posts that were uploaded and removed, as well as posts from authors who have since deactivated their accounts. We will continue our legal processes by monitoring and accumulating evidence.

We strictly prohibit filing civic or criminal complaints against those who circulate false information to harm our artists’ reputation. We will not entertain leniency or settlements, ensuring that all perpetrators are punished appropriately.

BTS fans, we apologize for the suffering you have endured in recent weeks. We prioritize protecting artists’ rights through all appropriate actions. We appreciate your everlasting love and support for BTS. For reports of violations, please contact BIGHIT MUSIC’s legal hotline at [email protected].
Thank you.”
