BTS Jimin Continues To Set Records On iTunes Charts With “Closer Than This,” Proving His Global Popularity

Jimin’s digital single ‘Closer Than This’, released on December 22, 2023, with love and consolation for his fans, ranked first on the Antigua Barbuda iTunes Top Songs chart on February 7.

‘Closer Than This’, which was surprisingly released ahead of the Christmas season, reached the top of the iTunes charts in 115 countries and regions around the world, reaching number one in 90 countries in less than a day in the global music market where carols were absolutely dominant at the time. By setting a record, Jimin’s enormous influence and popularity are once again proven.

Jimin’s ‘Closer Than This’ exceeded 83 million streams and 15 million streams, respectively, on the world’s largest streaming platform ‘Spotify’ and Korea’s largest music streaming platform ‘Melon’.

As of February 5, the number of listeners on Shazam, a global music search site, exceeded 90,000, and the official music video also exceeded 16 million views and has been consistently loved on major domestic and international music platforms since its release.


Meanwhile, the fan song ‘Closer Than This’, which was released after Jimin’s military enlistment and brought even greater emotion to fans, ranked 70,888 in the theme pick ‘Memorable Activities in the Fourth Quarter of 2023’ survey conducted by the K-pop idol community ‘Choi Aedol’.
