BTS’s Jin’s “The Astronaut” Surpasses 360 Million Streams On Spotify

BTS Jin’s solo song ‘The Astronaut’ surpassed 360 million streams on Spotify, demonstrating his powerful music power.

Jin’s first solo single ‘The Astronaut’ surpassed 360 million streams on March 9 on Spotify, the world’s largest music platform. As of 6 am on the 9th, it continues its record-breaking streak, exceeding 360.05 million streams.

‘The Astronaut’ is a gift song containing Jin’s love for his fans before enlisting in the military. It was released on October 28, 2022, and upon release, it received 50 million streams on Spotify in 22 days and 60 million in 29 days. 10,000 streams, 70 million streams in 37 days, and 90 million streams in 57 days. It also achieved 100 million streams in 72 days, setting the record for the shortest time for a Korean male K-pop solo song at the time.

On the day of her solo song’s release, Jin was first listed on Spotify’s ‘Global Top Artist’ and ‘Japanese Top Artist’ charts, making her the highest-ranking Korean solo artist ever to debut.

Jin, who achieved 100 million views of the music video for ‘The Astronaut’ on his birthday on December 4th last year, surpassed 300 million streams on Spotify on December 6th, two days after his birthday, proving once again that he is an absolute powerhouse in music.

Jin’s ‘The Astronaut’, which is achieving remarkable records on music charts in each country, showed off its comeback power and rose to first place on Spotify’s ‘Daily Top Song United Arab Emirates (UAE)’ chart on February 3rd.

Also, on the U.S. ‘Channel R Radio’, ‘Song of the Week’ took first place for two consecutive weeks on February 18th (local time) and February 25th, putting the military flag to shame. It shows global popularity and superstar influence, and even a year after its release, it is still receiving steady love and is on a high in popularity.

Meanwhile, Jin, who is serving as an army assistant instructor, is scheduled to be discharged in June.
