Global Project Girl Group EL7Z U+P Reveals Their Goals

Elz Up (Hwiseo, Nana, Yuki, Kei, Yeoreum, Yeonhee, Yeeun) held a round interview on September 23 in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, prior to the publication of their debut album in September.

El’s Up is a seven-member girl ensemble formed through Mnet’s 15-day ‘Queendom Puzzle’ competition. “Queendom Puzzle” is a competition programme in which female artists are assembled as a puzzle to form the finest girl group. As L’s Up, Huiseo, Nana, Yuki, Kei, Yeoreum, Yeonhee, and Yeeun begin anew.
In particular, L’ZUP, which means ‘the best 7 members you puzzled out’, will carry out various activities such as album release, global tour, and appearance at the ‘2023 MAMA Awards’.

Nana: The stage I’ve been dreaming of since I was a child was also ‘Mama’, and it was a festival I always watched at the end of the year, but the fact that I could go directly to L’s Up gave me goosebumps at first. As much as I stand on a big stage, I think I have a great desire to captivate and surprise many people. Looking forward to the end of this year.

Yuki: I was thrilled when I first heard that the members of L’ZUP could appear in ‘Mama’ if they did. I’ve always had a dream of appearing on ‘Mama’, but thankfully I’m happy to be able to appear on ‘Mama’ as a member of L’ZUP, and I’ll work hard to create a great stage so that I can surprise the viewers.

Yeonhee: Isn’t the ‘Mama’ stage a big stage that all idols dream of? I am very happy to be able to go out for the first time as L’s Up, and since this is also an opportunity made by the viewers, I have the mindset that I want to make each stage of ‘Mama’ the best with the members.

Wheeseo: Every year I see ‘Mama’, I think it’s a legendary stage that all artists dream of. If I become an artist, it is something I have always wanted to do since I was a trainee, imagined and hoped for, but just the fact that I will be able to appear as L’s Up made my heart flutter, and when I got ready, I became greedy to create the best stage among legends.

Is there anything you want to achieve through this activity?

Yeeun: It would be nice if we could achieve good results, but we want to show various activities through L’Z-UP while doing various things that we have not done in this group. The specific goal is ambiguous since we have just met as a team, but my personal wish is that it would be nice if we could be together for as long as possible.

Yeonhee: It is a really personal dream. I want to receive an award at the ‘Mama’ awards ceremony.

Summer: I want to become a team with merit that gains a little more both as L’s Up and as an individual.
