Key Of SHINee Acknowledges That As He Ages, He Worries About His Level Of Self-Efficacy.

Key from SHINee made his debut as the first male guest on Girl’s Day member and actress Hyeri’s YouTube channel, Hyeri’s Club, on the third episode. Hye Ri and Key had previously collaborated on the program “Amazing Saturday – Doremi Market,” where they displayed their sibling chemistry.

Hyeri questioned Key, “Do you have anything that scares you or makes you anxious?” as they conversed over cocktails. Key answered, “Yes. I’m afraid that my belief in my own abilities may fade. I worry that I’ll feel useless and that the time may come when I ask myself, “Am I worthless?” It’s unsettling to think about. It’s acceptable to lose relevance. That takes place. Even if you don’t have to live like you’re in your 20s, I believe you should have a purpose in life. I’m getting close to the point where I should be concerned about that. I’m 34 years old already.”

“It seems like the results should be good in our line of work, and we have to prove ourselves,” he continued. If not, people will declare that we have ‘failed.’ You can succeed if you have the backing of at least one individual. However, the dread of diminishing self-efficacy becomes increasingly worrisome as one ages. It’s unsettling to consider that you may become less confident in yourself while still a human. It’s unsettling to consider that as you become older, you can lose your friends and loved ones.”
