Mistrust Of “Unanswered Questions” Resurfaces After Fifty Fifty

‘Unanswered Questions,’ SBS’s investigative program, is enmeshed in controversy once more after covering the FIFTY FIFTY exclusive contract issue. The program on this subject from last August sparked accusations of biased reporting right away.

The whistleblower known only as “A,” who supplied information about incorrect facts about ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Jun, was exposed on November 15 KST to be a re-enactor. During the interview, Mr. A stated, “I was wondering why CEO Jeon Hong Jun started referring to himself as the ‘father’ of FIFTY FIFTY when he never attended end-of-month evaluations until the kids debuted.”

Regarding the uproar, an SBS representative said, “We will make it clear at the beginning of ‘Unanswered Questions’ broadcasts when re-enactments are employed.”

In addition, SBS clarified that ATTRAKT’s post-broadcast declaration that “no male employees like that in the company” was just that—ATTRAKT’s assertion. But when Dispatch spoke with member Keena afterwards, she disclosed that the person in question was a former worker of The Givers, a business that was at odds with the agency. The whistleblower, Mr. A, was an outsider and had no access to the inside workings of the organization.

It is noteworthy that in October, the CEO of ATTRAKT filed a defamation lawsuit against Mr. A for allegedly giving incorrect information while posing as an insider. ‘Unanswered Questions’ remained impartial and did not adopt a side position throughout this time.

The team behind ‘Unanswered Questions’ responded to allegations of biased reporting by saying, “We emphasize that our intention is not to take sides, and we will address any gaps in our coverage through follow-up episodes, especially on currently contentious issues.”

But as of November, SBS representatives were hesitant to comment on the show’s future, saying that “a decision on a follow-up has not been finalized” and that they don’t currently have much more information.
