SHINee’s Onew to leave SM Entertainment after Taemin

Following the termination of SHINee’s Taemin’s exclusive contract with SM Entertainment on March 5 KST, Onew is also expected to terminate his in the first half of the year.

A spokesman said, “We are currently exploring various possibilities for our future endeavors,” about Onew’s agency exit.

After joining SHINee in 2008, Onew has been credited with hits like “Replay”, “Ring Ding Dong”, and “Sherlock”.





Onew released his first solo album, ‘Voice’, in 2018, a decade after his debut. He kept a busy schedule in Korea and Japan between solo and SHINee work. His debut solo concert in March last year connected with his ardent fans.


After Onew’s solo show, SHINee’s 8th full-length album to celebrate their 15th debut anniversary was postponed due to his worsening health.
