Soccer Star Hwang Ui Jo Faces Prosecution For Secondary Harm To A Sex Video Victim

Second-degree sex video victim harm charges are against soccer player Hwang Ui Jo.

Sexual Instagram photographs and videos of Hwang Ui Jo and various ladies sparked outrage in June 2023. Some victims said he filmed them without their consent, although Hwang Ui Jo said she consented.

It was then revealed that the victim is a married TV celebrity. Police have charged Hwang Ui Jo and one of his lawyers with secondary harm after he revealed the victim’s identify. According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, revealing identify breaches the Sexual Violence Punishment Act.

Hwang Ui Jo dated T-ara’s Hyomin in January 2022 before breaking up in March.
