Veteran hero Bada inspires NewJeans in industry struggles
Bada, a S.E.S. alum, publicly supported NewJeans, a struggling youth group.
Bada uploaded a snapshot of NewJeans’ upcoming single on April 30 to worry about youthful idols in adulthood. “Imagine how hard it must have been for these young ones, preparing an album is tough enough,” she added.
“All idol juniors must face their own challenges, but I pray that you withstand this beautiful but fleeting time gracefully, grow wonderfully, and find happiness in being true to yourselves. I support all Korean idol juniors—you’re amazing.”
Recently, Adore’s Min Heejin and its parent firm HYBE have been in dispute. HYBE accused Min of plotting a takeover, auditing Adore on April 22, and charging her with breach of trust on April 25. Min Heejin, however, denies intentions or actions to seize control.
On April 27, NewJeans released the music video for ‘Bubble Gum’ amid this turbulence. On May 24, their double single ‘How Sweet’ will include the tune.
