YG’s BABYMONSTER To Perform At ‘Summer Sonic’ In August.. First Full-group Stage Of 7 Members [Official]

YG’s new girl group Baby Monster will appear on a stage that music fans around the world are paying attention to.

According to YG Entertainment on the 14th, Baby Monster will appear at ‘SUMMER SONIC 2024’ to be held at Jojo Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan on August 18th.

‘Summer Sonic’ is a large-scale urban music festival in Japan in which many top local singers as well as world-class musicians participate. Considering that Baby Monster has not yet begun full-scale activities, we can guess the extraordinary expectations placed on them in the global music market.

Baby Monster’s debut single ‘BATTER UP’ swept first place on the QQ Music MV chart, China’s largest music site, the iTunes Song Chart in 21 countries, and the Japan Line Music music video chart. It was also the first debut song released that year to enter the US iTunes Top 50. Afterwards, ‘Stuck In The Middle’ received favorable reviews from music fans around the world, featuring the members’ vocal capabilities intact.

Moreover, this appearance in ‘Summer Sonic’ is Baby Monster’s first announced external schedule. After Ahyun joined, active activities were expected starting with the first mini album [BABYMONS7ER], which will be released as a 7-member group. This marks the beginning of a strategy targeting the global music market. Attention is focused on their future activities, including on domestic music broadcasts.

Meanwhile, Baby Monster is composed of multinational members, including 3 Korean members (Ahyun, Haram, and Laura), 2 Thai members (Parita, Chiquita), and 2 Japanese members (Luca, Asa). Under systematic training, he mastered Korean, English, Japanese, Thai, and Chinese. The first mini album [BABYMONS7ER] will be released on April 1st.
