IVE’s “I AM” Dominates Billboard Japan, Surpassing 100 Million Cumulative Streams

Girl group IVE added the ‘100 million streaming’ record on Billboard Japan.

According to Billboard Japan on the 13th, the title song ‘I AM’ of Ive’s (Ahn Yu-jin, Gaeul, Lay, Jang Won-young, Liz, Lee Seo)’s 1st full-length album ‘I’ve IVE’ is the latest ‘streaming song’. ‘ The cumulative number of views on the chart exceeded 100 million.

The full-length album title song ‘I AM’, released in April last year, entered the Billboard Japan’s ‘Streaming Song’ chart at number 14 and led the discussion. Starting with the debut song ‘ELEVEN’, followed by the second single ‘LOVE DIVE’ and the third single ‘After LIKE’, this is Ive’s fourth album to reach 100 million streams on Billboard Japan. Billboard Japan highlighted Ive’s fourth achievement of 100 million streams through its official website and paid attention to the power of their music.

Ive, who is at the center of this global popularity, is currently in the process of a world tour called ‘IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR ‘SHOW WHAT I HAVE’, which started in Seoul in October last year. In particular, Ive’s world tour performances held in Yokohama, Fukuoka, and Osaka, Japan attracted a total of 78,000 audiences, proving once again the local popularity and status.

Ive, who began his Japanese activities in earnest by announcing his official debut in October 2022, received a lot of attention by being named on the ‘Gold Disc’ selected by the Recording Industry Association of Japan for his debut single album ‘Eleven’. Since then, the first Japanese album ‘WAVE’, released in May of last year, has continued to dominate local charts, including No. 1 on the Oricon Daily and Weekly Album Charts, No. 1 on the Tower Records Total Album Chart, and No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Weekly Top Album Sales Chart. It shows an upward trend.

Additionally, the local media continued to show explosive interest in Ive. Ive participated in Japan’s year-end song festival NHK’s ‘Red and White Song Festival’ and Japan’s representative program TBS’ ‘CDTV Live!’ Live!’, Fuji TV’s ‘Mezamashi TV’, and TV Asahi’s ‘Music Station’, proving their popularity in Japan.

Ive will meet fans on the ‘Show What I Have’ Americas tour, starting in Los Angeles, USA on the 13th (local time) and stopping in Oakland, Fort Worth, Atlanta, Rosemont, and Newark.
